King Edmund of the Thaitus Kingdom is gravely ill and¸ with no family or heirs to speak of¸ the fate of the kingdom has been cause for question for many months. That is... until today.
In this level 1 one-shot¸ a festival will be held over the course of three days where¸ at the end¸ a new ruler will be crowned and a new court elected. Will your party be the winners? Or will they find themselves drawn towards a more... anarchistic end?
In Contest for the Crown¸ you will find an easy-going and wholesome story filled with intrigue¸ plenty of roleplay¸ mini-games galore¸ alternative endings¸ and a homebrew 'reputation' mechanic.
This one-shot is around 5-6 hours long and consists of mostly roleplay with a few easy combat encounters suitable for a party of 4-6 level ones. It is also suitable for beginner DM's¸ although please note that improv and roleplay takes centre stage.
