Class Archetype Collection: The Monk

These are four Monastic Disciplines for the Monk class. Each one is based on ideas created for a home campaign. These archetypes should be fairly balanced¸ interesting¸ and suitable for a variety of different adventure types. Included within are: Way of the Falling Needle. A subclasse based around a reactive¸ evasive fighting style that relies on readied actions and off-turn attacks to deliver lethal counters. Way of the Five Storms. An alternate take on the Four Elements Monk that grants innate spellcasting abilities centered around the five Eastern elements. Way of the Holy Exorcist. A unique subclass that revolves around combating otherworldly threats¸ this Monk is a holy warrior that relies on his guns and his faith. Way of the Soaring Blade. Transforming the Monk into a true warrior class¸ this archetype trades some mobility and finesse for better proficiencies and abilities centered around fulfilling a more defensive party role.
