Case Files - The Serial Killers 4: The Firestarter
![]() |
A miasmic¸ warm moisture floats in the air. The cracked concrete floor is covered with a thick layer of tarry black mash. The walls have huge gaps through which the light from the outside seeps in. The remains of wiring and stalactites of molten insulation from the plumbing hang from the ceiling.
Apartment No. 603¸ which the detectives pointed out to the investigators¸ is completely burned down. In the charred debris one could barely recognize the shapes of furniture that used to fill the rooms. Only the old-fashioned¸ large fridge¸ once celadon in color¸ now completely black remains in the kitchen. In the place where the windows were¸ now an unobstructed panorama of Manhattan can be seen. In many points¸ light enters through holes burned-out in the ceiling. The bathroom looks very similar. The bedroom¸ however - is much worse.
