Case Files - The Serial Killers 2: The Casanova
![]() |
In the morning hours of April¸ 20¸ officers from the Delaware River Marine Patrol¸ when patrolling the Appoquinimink Wildlife Area¸ discovered a floating body - it was a woman¸ about 40 years of age¸ fully clothed with no visible signs of injuries. This was a third such discovery over a period of just a few weeks.
After a short consultation with the New Castle County Sheriff's Office¸ it was decided to call FBI for support.
The script comes from a series of materials for Game Masters who want to conduct investigative sessions on topics related to serial killers. It can be used in a realistic convention¸ in urban-fantasy climates or horror. Although well suited for a team of FBI federal agents from The Behavioral Science Unit - or any equivalent from your system ‐ it is also suitable for a team of private detectives¸ investigative journalists¸ etc. Each scenario in the series is a self-contained story of a single¸ specific case¸ which depending on the pace¸ player decisions and personal narratives can be played-out a single or multiple meetings.
This scenario includes:
- Extensive background of the serial killer around whom the investigation is built.
- Minutia of the investigation¸ such as crime scene descriptions; laboratory results; autopsy results; or the profile of the perpetrator ‐ everything that the heroes may need to discover and capture the murderer.
- Short and functional descriptions of the key independent characters.
- Short and functional descriptions of significant locations related to the case.
- Hints for the Game Masters woven into the text.
- An additional module of supernatural threads which allows you to transform a traditional thriller into a horror story.
The scenario is system-agnostic and¸ hence¸ does not contain any mechanics or direct references to popular RPG systems. You can easily adapt it to your favourite game.
You will receive three PDF files for the price of the script.
