BUGBEAR ADVENTURERS - RISE OF THE GOBLIN HERO
'Monstruous' races'? Says who?
From the pages of Volo's Guide to Monsters they were presented as cunning brutes bred for war. Uncouth¸ uncultured. Savage.
But what is a 'savage' if not a misunderstood people? In the Rise of the Goblin Hero series¸ we expand on Dungeons & Dragons rich lore to mold a more heroic and player friend figure of the Bugbear¸ elevating them from 'monstrous player options' to a heritage just as valid as an Elf or a Dwarf.
We do so by taking the lore that is already in the game and making it more complex and compelling¸ so the Bugbear feels like a people and not just like monsters with player stats.
Featuring - Lore Expansion! Learn how a Bugbear society works¸ who they worship¸ what they craft¸ their preferred foods¸ and cultural trends.
- New Backgrounds. Three fleshed out Bugbear gangs that double as backgrounds for player characters. This showcases how diverse Bugbear society can be¸ showcasing how Gangs can deviate from the 'base' bugbear culture or how they live under it on their terms.
- Roleplaying guides. Want to play a Bugbear but are you having trouble setting goals for your character or even how to react to a party of more 'traditional' adventures? We got you covered.
- New subclasses. Not Bugbear exclusive¸ but the 'Cunning Warrior' and the 'Stalker' represent well the cultural combat style expected of a bugbear brave.
- Alternate Bugbear racial rules. Don't have Volo's? You have everything you need to play a bugbear with this book¸ for we offer our take on a Bugbear race¸ updated to match the latest errata on how races work for D&D!
