An Orphans Inheritance
Not knowing one's ancestry can be difficult on a person. It can cause someone to question their place in the world and condemn them to a life that never fully understands parts of its existence. And yet......and yet there are times when having the opportunity to learn the truth turns out to be worse. This 1-2 hour psychological horror adventure is suitable for PCs between levels 1-10. The adventure assumes that there is an adventurer in the party who does not know the identity of their biological parents. The primary tension in this adventure comes not from a fear of death in combat but from the orphan adventurer (and by extension the orphan character's player) having to make decisions that are both emotionally charged and difficult. Not everything can be paid for in blood and gold.
