100 Notes and Letters for the Nile Empire
![]() |
Characters will often encounter pieces of paper when searching places¸ or even corpses. Often¸ these may be important¸ but important writings shouldn't be the only ones they find. There will be other jottings that people will have written or received. Here are 100 simple notes and letters¸ threats¸ orders and warnings¸ signs of wrongdoing¸ proof of conspiracies or the ravings of madmen that can be used to disguise what's truly important and to make a setting come to life. Some are quite short and others are longer. These notes are related to Nile Empire and could be found in or about a particular location.
Although none are intended to have any meaning beyond being a distraction that appears important¸ the Guide can¸ of course¸ decide whether any of these do have any meaning. These could be used as adventure hooks¸ or as ways of getting characters to visit certain locations.

Here are some sample results:
Here's a satellite map of the area around the Great Rift Valley. Naturally¸ most of the underground areas aren't showing up at all¸ but you can see some interesting features anyway. Here's an account of my latest investigations of the tunnel networks in the Middle East¸ those that are curiously Nile Empire and Aysle mixed zones. I believe you'll find some of what I discovered to be very interesting¸ and it opens up some definite possibilities. I'll discuss this further with you once I return. I agree¸ it would be very useful to get people inside the College and Society¸ but I really can't see that happening. They're well protected and filled with some of Mobius' most loyal followers. I don't know how much longer we're going to be able to keep a lid on things. They're going to attack very soon¸ whether we're ready for it or not. I enclose my investigations into why the Assyrian and Babylonian structures of the Fertile Crescent were not recreated by the reality wash as was expected.
One page is the front cover¸ three the front matter and one is ads.
