Moral and ethical issues are not new territory for The GRAM Role-Playing Game; it's practically our go-to for friction¸ but Trouble$hooters takes this even further than usual where it's not the situation that's in question¸ but most of the setting itself. This is a world of contrasts¸ where the harsh realities of the past meet up with the uncomfortable possibilities of the future. The players caught in the middle of this intersection¸ having to deal with the day-to-day of it all.
And in this episode¸ the old adage about not learning from history becomes a present-day problem. Tzorah-Asteria Station is a sprawling metropolis suffering from a great many growing pains and in the suburb of South Zimon¸ the very air is thick with those aches. In an effort to revitalize the community¸ the city government re-opened St. Birnadyne church... and raised the taxes to cover the expenses. This integration of church and state has had quite the opposite effect¸ however¸ fraying the nerves of the citizens it was meant to help to the point where a protest-turned-riot broke out and set everything back even further. The church's leader calls in the Trouble$hooters¸ hoping they can mediate this situation before it slips further out of control.
