Shorthand Creatures and an Aysle Bestiary
10 New Creatures for Aysle plus a new Aylish version of a Gospog (The Rotting Knight)¸ a new suggested Mechanic for the game and a shorthand way of building and recording your own unique foes? There will be something there¸ I hope¸ for every GM. You want to create a monster on the fly in your Torg game but you don't want to spend ages writing out all the attributes and skills? Or perhaps you just need a quick and dirty conversion of a monster from another game to use at the table? Creatures and NPCs¸ especially hostile ones¸ are fully fleshed out in the Core Rules (page 266) but sometimes you just want to have creatures that are quick to throw together and quick to play. The attributes for a given creature are usually within a fairly tight range of each other so it might be useful to have a shorthand way of looking at a given foe. With that in mind¸ I set about to create that shorthand method¸ or at least one that I could use in my own games. Using that shorthand method¸ I have put together a bestiary of 10 fantasy creatures for your Aysle games. If you don't want to use the shorthand¸ the monsters will still be useful to you¸ as it takes two minutes to turn a shorthand listing into a full write-up!
