'The European Tinderbox ' is a supplement for the 'Through the Mud and Blood of Flanders' ruleset by Dobbies Hobbies. 'The European Tinderbox' will provide you with an army lists for the various Balkan nations who fought from 1914 to 1918. With minor adjustments¸ the army lists found in this supplement could be used to recreate battles from the First Balkan War and the Second Balkan War. Other nations who participated in the various Balkan actions such as Britain¸ France¸ German and Austro-Hungary will be featured in a future 'Salonika Front' supplement¸ until then it's recommended to use the current supplements with minor modifications. To use these rules¸ you will need a copy of the main rules 'Through the Mud and Blood' and a theatre supplement book¸ both of which are available at https://www.wargamevault.com.
'The European Tinderbox' offers players a range of very unique and interesting forces. Will you play the fragile yet ferocious Montenegrin forces? How about the sturdy Bulgarian units? Do the special elite units of the Romanian army interest you? Or will you command a force of woefully equipped (by European standards) yet determined Greeks? While the forces on the Western Front became more and more unified as the war went on¸ the Balkan forces all remained unique. It offers an interesting¸ albeit often overlooked¸ period to wargame.
