In the wake of the rising cost of air travel and development of clean propulsion methods the city of Liverpool has returned to its roots as a hub of ocean shipping. Thousands of workers have flocked to the docks in search of employment¸ managing a never ending stream of bulk cargo.

Then came Synthetics¸ true artificial consciousness with the potential to upend the economy. As their numbers increase so does their dominance in the workplace and the careful balance between workers and the Corporations hangs by a thread.

This is the Synth Divergence - A transmission for Technoir¸ the game of high-tech¸ hard-boiled roleplaying.
