In her youth Princess Celestia¸ along with her mentor Star Swirl the Bearded¸ once travelled to many different worlds using magical mirror portals¸ but the portals were closed when the travellers discovered how dangerous they could be.
Meanwhile¸ Nightmare Night comes to Ponyville¸ and though excitement fills the air¸ one little pony's fear threatens to reopen one of the portals¸ and let loose unknown darkness into Equestria!
