Leisure Transport
The purpose of the Xuan Wu line of leisure transports is to provide comfortable accommodations and a variety of entertainment facilities for about 50 passengers in a mid-sized ship. Aves Engineering originally developed the craft under military contract as an armored transport. After the war¸ the design was modified to cater to civilian clientele. A single Armadillo-class shuttle pod is carried¸ as are half a dozen life boats. The large cargo bay could easily be used as a hangar if desired¸ but is more often used exclusively for cargo (including the ubiquitous HMT containers) and luggage. The standard crew includes a dozen human personnel plus a cadre of robotic servitors.
The Xuan Wu package contains three highly detailed¸ layered PDF files:
• Main Book
- 20 page PDF file detailing the ship and interior areas.
- Contains 3D rendered scenes as well as orthographic views of the ships.
- Includes system independent statistics designed for easy adaptation to your game of choice.
- Background¸ art¸ and text are on different layers for custom display and printing.
• Map Pages
- 28 page PDF file containing complete interior maps and instructions for assembly.
- Miniature-scale maps for tactical combat with an optional 1 inch = 5 ft grid.
- Divided into pages for easy printing in full color or printer-friendly black and white.
- Selectable layers include: grid¸ black & white version¸ and optional objects.
• Uncut Map Images
- A single page PDF files containing a 48.5 x 36.5 inch image of the complete deckplans.
- Select either a light or dark background (for printing or projection/display).
- Includes layers for grid¸ black & white version¸ optional cargo¸ and background choice.

The name Xuan Wu is taken from Chinese mythology where it is a northern constellation associated with winter and represented by a snake-entwined black tortoise. It was the turtle-like shape of the ship's upper hull that inspired the name. Amenities include a gym¸ dance floor¸ and cinema as well as a spacious lounge and small arcade.
