Lakota Poster Images
I've created paper deckplan posters for several of the ships from my Future Armada and Armada Codex product lines. The product for sale here is a digital image of the Lakota/Arikara poster and is intended for use in gaming via computer or with a table-top projector. These are 24x26 inch jpeg images at 150 dpi. Two images are included: the "front" and "back" of the poster. The maps are at 1 inch = 5 feet scale with a grid built into the floor.
"Lakota" is a Tomahawk-class courier designed as a fast¸ multipurpose transport. Many captains appreciate the armament¸ spacious cargo deck¸ and a dedicated vehicle bay. The installed systems emphasize defense over offense¸ but the turrets and missile launcher can still be very effective in the hands of trained personnel. Lakota is an excellent ship for a group of up to seven whether they are hauling cargo¸ exploring beyond the civilized worlds¸ or running dangerous missions.
The "Arikara" variant is an unregistered modification of the popular Tomahawk-class. Though it lacks the distinctive wing-mounted engines and stabilizers of the Tomahawk¸ this design adds both a detachable upper deck and a ventral breaching bore. Dubbed the "Akira" class runabout¸ the detached upper level can operate as an attack shuttle independent of the main hull while the breaching bore facilitates hostile ship-to-ship takeovers in the void. In addition to these modifications¸ the Arikara carries a low tech armored truck in the garage on the lower deck. Elsewhere there are barracks for a dozen raiders¸ cabins for the captain and officers¸ and holding cells for up to eight unfortunate souls bound for ransom or a life of slavery.
The Lakota armed courier is on the front of the poster (image 1) and the Arikara marauder is on the back (image 2). Also for sale at RPGNow are the Lakota issue of Future Armada and the Arikara issue of Armada Codex. These products detail the ships and their interiors¸ and also include the deckplans (on a plain white background) broken into pages for printing.
