Light Frigate
The Cervantes-class is a light frigate designed to carry a crew of about 20; typically 4 to 8 working crew plus a complement of marines. The ship is meant for patrol and escort duties either alone or in concert with similar craft. Well-armed for its size - Cervantes is durable and easy to repair¸ and comes in two distinct versions unimaginatively dubbed the V1 and V2.
Version 1 is laid out horizontally¸ using anti-grav technology to make "down" a constant 1 G towards the belly of the ship. The three long decks are laid out like a large aircraft or boat. The Cervantes-V1 has landing skids on its ventral side and uses gravitic technology - plus some vectored thrust assistance - for smooth VTOL operations.
The second version of Cervantes is built vertically and relies on thrust to approximate gravity so "down" is towards the back of the ship - and only present at all when changing speed. This one is a tail lander and has long¸ extendable struts to set down upon - though these are hidden out of sight otherwise. The V2 has eight smaller decks¸ laid out like the levels of a building.
Both layouts have bunks for 16 or 24 crew members (depending on whether you consider them as double or triple-stacked) plus three or four officers. Both also feature retractable point-defense-guns¸ a missile launcher¸ and an optional rail gun.

- 19 page PDF file detailing the interior areas of the ships.
- Contains 3D rendered scenes as well as orthographic views.
- Includes system independent statistics designed for easy adaptation to your game of choice.
- Background¸ art¸ and text are on different layers for custom display and printing.
• Map Pages
- 24 page PDF file containing complete interior maps and instructions for assembly.
- Miniature-scale maps for tactical combat with an optional 1 inch = 5 ft grid.
- Divided into pages for easy printing in full color or printer-friendly black and white.
- Selectable layers include: grid¸ black & white version¸ and optional cargo.
• Uncut Map Images
- Two PDF files containing large¸ uncut images of the deckplans for the ships.
- Includes a 23x33 inch image of the V1 and a 25x35 image of the V2.
- Select either a light or dark background (for printing or projection/display).
- Includes layers for grid¸ black & white version¸ optional cargo¸ and background choice.
- Flat jpeg images¸ grid-aligned¸ on a dark background are also provided for use on screen.
