Ukraine burst onto the world's stage for all the wrong reasons.
Embroiled in a Russian-led insurrection since 2014¸ an independent Ukraine limped slowly towards Europe.
Corruption kills¸ and Ukraine saw its national interests undermined both by Russian actors hollowing out Ukrainian institutions but also by savvy and selfish Ukrainians trying to make a buck. Ukraine stood like a rotted tree¸ ready to fall in a strong wind¸ or so it would seem.
When that strong wind arrived on February 24¸ 2022 in the form of a shock nighttime assault by the forces of the Russian Federation¸ the Ukrainian president had one response¸
"I don't need a ride. I need bullets.”
Spawn Point: Ukraine quantifies this historic time. Draws upon real-world data and events and heroes and builds not just a game but an experience.
