One thing we've noticed during The Workshop's in-house games is that keeping each screen's worth of map interesting and unique can be awkward if we only use the basic citybuilding material. Was this Gang A's hideout¸ or Vampire Coven C's locale? Sure¸ each layout can be different¸ but having a little something extra to add flavor means everything when it comes to depth and immersion. Awnings¸ skylights (for both day and night)¸ vents¸ access panels¸ cell towers¸ and more not only add character to your locations so they feel more authentic and alive¸ they also provide shrewd players opportunities to creatively solve problems. Every piece here has been used for our in-house games¸ and integrates seamlessly with both the Metr-o-Matic and Dystopi-o-Matic packs.

How to Use These TilesAfter purchase¸ you'll get a.zip file with all 149) individual pieces¸ which are yours to mash together in your characters' travels as you see fit. The individual tiles are made to be easily drag-and-dropped together on top of the map in your preferred graphics software (photoshop¸ gimp¸ etc)¸ and then saved out as a single image for the virtual tabletop¸ or you can upload the contents of the zip to Roll20 and build your dungeons there. Bonus feature for Roll20: The "Your Library" section of the DM tools can be unorganized at times¸ each filename contains the specific dimensions of each tile needed to maintain seamless integration and reduce headaches. Every file has unique tags built in to their names¸ so you can use built-in search features to find the right piece for the right spot.
