Calensville Caverns

Calensville Caverns is a location (with the addition several creatures who have called the caverns home) intended to be dropped in to the campaign setting of your choice. While written with a Post-Apocalyptic setting in mind¸ the descriptions of the various caves and creatures can be easily adapted to the setting of your choice from Fantasy to Sci-Fi.
For centuries¸ mankind has utilized the natural shelters of caves for places to live. As time went on¸ people moved out of this underground environment and into shelters on the surface that had been built with their own hands.
As time passed¸ mankind began to see these caves as places of wonder and adventure. Exploring them meant seeing things people had not seen in a long time¸ enjoying the beauty of nature¸ or sometimes even getting trapped and having to find a way out that no one has found before.
Caverns are places that inspire all sorts of emotions ranging from joy to fear. When an extraordinary event occurs and leaves civilization devastated¸ mankind ends up coming full circle and using caves the way they had in the beginning. Caves become shelter¸ meeting places¸ homes¸ and more a part of everyday life.
Sometimes however¸ they still hold mystery and adventure...
