The Green Man and the witches of Rome have arrived at New Constantine. The imperial Ley Line to Rome is broken and the people of The Book are ravaging the city. The Green Man hopes to save Emperor Constantine's favourite Plastic Person from the interrogations of a Pope keen to uncover the secrets of Rome. On The Greek Islands the emperor's daughter Capri is wreaking havoc amongst the female druids against the best advice of her lover General Nero.
