St. Martin's Summer"¸ which takes its name from the title of a famous novel by Raphael Sabatini¸ is a set of rules for two or more players for the simulation of small clashes set in the period that goes from the XVII th century to the middle of the XIX th century. I have written this set of rules with the idea that a good skirmish simulation must allow the players to see their characters battling¸ to imagine them in the heat of the clash. For this reason¸ I have introduced in the rules some bits taken from role playing games. Anyway¸ my only desire is that other enthusiasts of cloak and sword novels can enjoy themselves playing this game. For this reason¸ the present set of rules is at the moment almost free. In return¸ I ask you only¸ please¸ to suggest me any possible correction (even of the English text¸ that it is not my native language) and/or addition to the rules¸ since they have been only slightly playtested.
