The Mystery of Argenmont Manor
The reclusive Marquis of Argenmont has invited a group of adventurers from across the land to his castle for a feast. He promises great rewards in exchange for assistance dealing with a serious threat to his lands. Unfortunately¸ things start to go wrong when guests go missing and¸ you've probably guessed it¸ this is a friggin 'MURDER MYSTERY. Break out the pipes and sleuthing hats¸ because players who like to use their heads¸ talk to NPCs¸ and investigate are about to have their time to shine. Here's the breakdown: 1. The party gets invited to a dinner at the home of Sarrault¸ the Marquis of Argenmont Manor 2. Hey¸ it looks like other people were also invited... and apparently the Marquis needs help with something. 3. But before he can get into detail¸ the dinner get's interrupted by a freak atttack. 4. In all the confustion¸ somebody turns up dead.... but under strange circumstances. Weird. 5. It's up to the party to figure out who the killer is before MORE bodies pile up. This module includes 2 hand-crafted maps¸ a host of unique characters¸ and several unique enemies. Beware¸ even though this adventure is focused on story¸ things can get DEADLY for a party of haphazard PCs - total party kills are totally possible. This story is for 4th to 5th level PCs and will take around 5 hours to complete. In the hands of a creative DM¸ there is lots of opportunity for future stories to spin out of this one module.
