Fighter Fred and the Dungeon of Doom
Think back to your best roleplaying campaign. The one where the GM made a world so believable you could taste the hippogriff stew. This is exactly what Fighter Fred's world is not like. Fred's world seems like something photocopied from an old-school rulebook. The economy is entirely described by the Equipment List on page 12. Social status is measured in experience points. Geography is limited to what can fit on a sheet of graph paper. But for Fighter Fred¸ this is real life. And he loves it! He loves having monsters to fight and treasure to gain. Most of all¸ he loves the people who go on adventures with him. So even though the elf who wants to roleplay is constantly bickering with the thief who just wants treasure¸ Fred is sure that in the end they will all become best friends. That's... not exactly how it goes. Will the elf find the sacred amulet? Will the thief get treasure? Will the mage ever get done shopping? Will Fred be able to hold the party together long enough to answer any of these questions? The only way to find out is to enter the Dungeon of Doom and place your trust in Fighter Fred. This is not a Dungeons & Dragons product. This is not a rulebook. But it does poke fun at D&D rulebooks¸ oh yes it does. Complete novel. First in the Fighter Fred series. Formatted as mobi ¸ epub ¸ and PDF.
