The Richelieu fakes loyalty to the tyrant and run the nation. You play as the Richelieu Secret Agents. Battlefields¸ ballroom dances... nothing is out of your reach to protect your homeland. All the while you scheme to overthrow the King. One for all¸ all for one!
RICHELIEU is a self-contained lo-fi RPG about musketeer secret agents in a france ruled by tyrannical magical severed head. Inspired by french novels¸ France and le petit prince. It's 3 pages and a cover¸ fitting on two sides of a letter-sized page.
Basic rules for play based on the FREE 24XX SRD Rules for creating musketeer agents ¸ including 6 types of rapiers¸ 6 types of tabards and 6 fencing schools. Rules for creating magical perfumes: including 20 ingredients¸ which can be mixed to make neard endless magical effects. GMing prompts including 12 problems¸ 12 twists for a problem¸ 8 twists for an agent¸ 6 royal guars¸ and 12 influential people.
RICHELIEU is the 9th title of the 18XX series . Every game in that series occur roughly at the sime time period.¸ allowing them to be mixed and still be historically accurate!
