Elemental Compendium I: Creatures of the Inner Planes
This supplement contains a wide variety of elementals that are ideal for both DM's and players. With CR's ranging from 1/4 all the way to 30¸ this supplement has monsters compatible with every level of play¸ and the majority of the elementals are compatible with the conjure minor elementals and conjure elementals spells¸ presenting players with a wide variety of new options for summoning. On the lower end of the CR spectrum¸ we have a new selection of mephits ¸ including acid mephits¸ lightning mephits¸ and mephits inspired by the three main elements of alchemy: mercury¸ salt¸ and sulfur. Moving on from that to the CR 2 options¸ there are the elemental grues and elemental stewards ¸ both of which offer unique roleplay and combat capabilities to both DM's and players¸ not to mention the lesser elementals. In the CR 5 range¸ I have a myriad of elementals based on the conjunction of other elements¸ such as steam¸ dust¸ ice¸ and smoke. In addition¸ there are the horror elementals: hateful¸ elemental embodiments of sins made real¸ perfect for Ravenloft and other horror campaigns. And above that¸ ideal for 9 th level castings of conjure elemental ¸ are the greater elementals. This supplement also contains new monsters for DM's¸ such as the avatars of elemental evil ¸ one of the last remaining remnants of the unity that the Cult of the Elder Elemental Eye once had¸ and the elemental monoliths ¸ elementals of power close to that of the princes themselves! Above even those are the four Princes of Elemental Good: the brave Ben Hadar ¸ the wise Chan ¸ the stalwart Sunnis ¸ and the kind Zaaman Rul. These forces represent opposition to the cults of elemental evil. Finally¸ there are the primordials: ancient beings of the old world whose very presence spells doom for the mortal races. There are statistics for Cryonax ¸ the lord of Frostfell who yearns to see all life extinguished¸ and Solkara ¸ a being embodying the pure churning chaos of the ancient earth. Both of these monstrosities present a real and existential threat to the world as a whole. Now featuring full illustrations of both Cryonax and Solkara! A huge thanks to Ryan van Dongen and Brent Hollowell for the fantastic artwork¸ and an equally big thank you to the Homebrewery for the program that made this possible!
