They are all original¸ and they were all created following Matt Colville's "Action-Oriented Monster” design: this means that great care was put into making sure that these terrifying foes can show off their dark powers before adventurers manage to overpower them (if they do manage¸ that is). Thanks to their "Villain Actions” (A mix between Legendary Actions and Lair Actions ) these monsters quickly and efficiently establish -- through their actions in combat -- their horrifying nature¸ as well as the haunting themes of your campaign. How scary can a monster be if it doesn't manage to accomplish anything before the end of a three-round fight? "Villain Actions” are a neat and concrete solution to that problem.
