The Stargazer lives at the top of the tower. He offers proclamations regarding the end of suffering and unlife¸ but no assurance as to how or when. He makes prognostications daily¸ most of which prove false and seem to waste the time of those who work around him. The Stargazer is not a charlatan¸ but a misguided man cursed to have made one important prediction that saved a life. And now¸ every once in a while¸ his predictions come true. ***
