Something's not right with the world. There's a rot around you and it's getting closer. Catch The Devil is a game about normal people caught up in forces beyond the real. As a player you'll create a normal person and explore how they react to being caught up in events that can't be real. As a GM you'll take your fears and make them manifest in the world of the characters as a rot that has designs on the player characters. When the player characters come under stress they will change in unexpected ways. The core rules of the game are different for each character reflecting the different ways people handle duress. Catch The Devil is by Sage LaTorra ¸ co-designer of Dungeon World. It reflects years of experience with Powered By The Apocalypse games and a growing anxiety about the world we live in. The current version of Catch The Devil is a complete game playable for 1-3 sessions. Over time I'd like to expand it to a larger game based on some interesting ideas about how to handle GM planning¸ character change¸ and the passage of time.
