The year is 197X¸ and the Institute for Higher Learning and Advanced Theoreticals is pleased to announce the next Exceptional Youth Camp. A Sub-Division of the KGB¸ the Institute is tasked with studying and understanding tomorrow's youth¸ molding these young Pioneers to become ideal Soviet citizens. The Exceptional Youth Camp being a deluxe summer camp to bring out the potential of those who are willing to work hard¸ and be the best they can be.
Is what they tell people at least.
In truth¸ the Institute is studying a strange phenomenon¸ one unique to children¸ but can be molded for the KGB's new KPK Division. Thought Waves allow those with the gift to manipulate their surroundings using the power of the mind. These youths are the future of the Soviet Union and the struggle against the American menace's own Stargate Project. It is the dream to push past the Final Gate¸ but one has to understand what it is¸ before attempting to break through it.
Exception Youth Camp is a #PocketQuest2022 Entry about Soviet Super Science and a small batch of Soviet Pioneers who have been inadvertendly drawn into said Soviet Super Science. Play as either Pioneers experimenting with barely functional psychic powers or Counselors being the only thing keeping these powder kegs of adolescent emotions in check. All while the Head Researcher seeks to poke and prod¸ making everyone's life miserable.
