The Vantablack Hack



The Vantablack Hack is a modification of David Black's "Black Hack"¸ with the intent of stripping the system down to its very basics so others can use it as a platform for their own systems. The following modifications have been made for that purpose.

1. The system has been reduced from 126 pages to 8 pages and stripped of all theming or supplemental material¸ leaving only the basic mechanics.

2. Classes have been removed¸ replaced with a generic classless character generation system¸ but leaving room for new classes to be added.

3. Damage¸ previously coupled to Class¸ has been made dependant on a simple weapon system.

4. Rules for allowing the Stat-less enemies and NPC's to make stat rolls when needed.

5. Various minor changes to leveling up¸ death¸ illness¸ etc.

If you are looking to make your own Hack¸ or just want a good ruleset to build on¸ this is the place to start.
