STARTING POINT - FORGOTTEN RUINS
An Isometric System Neutral RPG Map
The ruin has always been there. No one knows who built it or what they were worshiping in building it. Buried deep with the forest¸ all that now stands are the collapsing walls and fractured tiled floor. But inside altars still remain¸ the plinths of carved stone still stand in their original alignment and the tombs remain unopened. There may well be plenty of spoils for those who dare venture into this ruin but there may also be danger for the square pits also remain and what once lived in there may still do so now...
Who lies buried in the four tomb and what treasures do their earthly remains keep? What are the strange triangular obelisks and what do the equally strange carvings on their surface mean? Why is the crumbling alter still wet with blood? And what dwells in the two square chambers? Only you can decide...
As indicated by the title's series¸ this map is intended to be a starting point for you to begin to craft a short delve¸ a Side Mission or to integrate into part of much longer adventure. The map is System Neutral and ready for you to populate with your choice of monsters¸ traps and treasure that are appropriate to your gaming needs. The map is designed in greyscale so as to save on printer ink. Being only one side of A3¸ the map is an ideal location for either one evening's play or as a short Side Mission¸ the complexity of which you can set and define for your adventurers.
