Chronicles of the Secret Time - Basic Rules
Chronicles of The Secret Time is an "Old School" role-playing game¸ B / X-BECMI compatible but without being a clone¸ entirely developed in Italy.
Its main feature is the presence of three game modes of which the main one¸ Chronicles¸ combines the traditional feeling with innovative mechanics¸ such as the alternation of the players in the role of Master according to the geographical area explored.
The game mechanics follow the RAT (Roll-A-Twenty) system¸ based on the launch of a d20 and modifiers¸ with a fixed threshold of 20.
The game includes its own setting¸ the Isle of Aurora¸ in which the colonizing humans coexist with difficulty with the autochthonous nurr (cat-men) and acephalus (giants without a head but with four arms)¸ which are also two of the six breeds not human playable.
On the island is the city of Tilne¸ divided into eight districts and inspired by the medieval city of Legnano¸ in northern Italy.
The monsters and creatures present in the game derive in part from traditional fantasy¸ but in large part from Italian myths and legends¸ such as the Boe Muliache of Sardinian origin.
The game fully respects the Intelligent Game Manifesto and has a license that promises publication support for schools interested in starting game design courses.
The basic rules present six classes (out of twelve) to be brought up to level 3 and an adventure.
