This fully realized unique tarot deck is themed after the Angel of Death¸ alluding to the Minor Death as featured in Gygax's Deck of Many Things (1979 Game Master's Guide ¸ TSR¸ pp. 142-143).
The deck features curated art thematically designed by Kent David Kelly to echo themes of heroic and infernal destiny in the World of Oldskull campaign. Each card features one of the five alchemic elements: Air (A) chronicling the Suit of Swords¸ Earth (E) symbolizing the Suit of Crystals¸ Fire (F) exemplifying the Suit of Wands¸ and Water (W) is represented by the Suit of Chalices. The 22 Major Arcana are marked Quintessentia (Q)¸ the literal Fifth Element of souls¸ ascendance¸ and spirituality. Each card is also marked with a Roman numeral and lucky (sequential) number for divinatory purposes.
All cards feature the Incarnation's name in Veritas (Oldskull) font¸ as well as his or her divinatory sigil of interpretation ("Wishes"¸ "Concordance"¸ "Betrayal"¸ etc.). This intuitive keyword approach ensures that you do not need to interrupt your play or card reading to look up the primary meaning of a card; the sage has already demonstrated its meaning for you to interpret on your own.
