You can explore the Age of Spirits in the Setting Guide and read all about the yokai and their strange abilities in the Bestiary. Then create your own personalized heroes from the wide variety of options in Character Creation. Watch your characters grow and learn new techniques as they adventure through the land of Japan. Make any type of conflict the focus of your story with the Tide and Morale system: fierce battles¸ heated debates¸ puzzling mysteries¸ or any other conflict you want to play through. Create¸ run¸ and play in engrossing campaigns filled with mysteries¸ exploration¸ danger¸ and excitement. Character Creation Create any kind of Character you want using a point-buy system. Stalwart human samurai¸ a tengu detective that can fly¸ or a tsukumogami broom just trying to understand its place in a strange new world after awakening. Conflict Resolution The Tide and Morale system allows GMs and players to model any kind of Conflict using the same rules. Actions taken by a Character that harm or impede their opponents¸ or support their allies¸ inflict Tide damage¸ which moves the Tide of Battle back and forth on a tracker. When the Tide of Battle has been pushed far enough against one side¸ that side takes Morale Damage¸ which may force some of its members out of the Conflict.
