"Concept: "Inspired by Death's album Scream Bloody Gore”
Content: Includes 11 rooms¸ 10 [enemies¸ and] tables for room clutter and wandering monsters (just in case the other hazards and inhabitants weren't lethal enough)
Writing: Descriptions of rooms and inhabitants are filled with grim¸ gritty¸ multi-sensory imagery
Art/design: Features loads of original art; palette is dominated by red and muted yellow¸ creating a gory and noxious ambience
Usability: Incorporates high-level internal links in ToC and at the bottom of pages for fast navigation; random monster table includes page references for print-inclined GMs"
STORY: Started by a heretical black Priest of Nechrubel seeking an entrance to the great fiery beyond to gain otherworldly powers¸ he and his followers took up the old abandoned Slaughterhouse in the middle of nowhere as their base. His unholy undead following soon thereafter crept out into the world seeking all manner of miscreants¸ murders¸ creative criminals¸ and malicious mercenaries to join forces with the Priest and his Slaughterhouse Citadel. Here they help the him spill ever more human blood needed for his ritual of unmaking. In the following years the place itself was vastly expanded upon in a haphazard style of construction¸ borrowing architecture from churches¸ citadels¸ warehouses¸ cathedrals¸ and factories. Recent whispers in the darkness say the dark Priest has completed this ritual¸ transforming himself into the fabled Anti-Priest¸ his new form twisted and influenced by the grizzly shape of his new torturous surroundings.
