You stand as the unyielding testament to apathetic deities of a time long past¸ an age of prosperity that has given way to the poisoning of the land by black magic and wicked deeds. As all heroes must¸ you were granted gifts by those gods who saw fit to see that you returned safely from your quests. Strength¸ speed¸ stamina - all of these were yours. However¸ there was one deity who took a most special interest in you¸ who granted you an artefact beyond all human knowledge and comprehension. Its power is now a pale reflection of its former glory¸ but even now you still wield the gift of your master.
