Mirrors: Fantasy Folk is a sourcebook for Chronicles of Darkness: Mirrors.
Chapter Three of Mirrors introduces a number of alternate takes on the Chronicles of Darkness setting. Among these alternate takes are example rules for Fantasy Peoples.
Mirrors: Fantasy Folk expands the list of Fantasy Peoples you might draw from if using any of the material from this shard. Within these pages are eight new playable Folk¸ ready to be added into your game. The emphasis in these materials is placed on system with the barest brushstrokes of origins¸ descriptions¸ and story seeds provided for each type of Folk to allow for maximum customization¸ ease of use¸ and utility. Flesh them out as you like¸ or drop them into your fantasy game as they are¸ utilizing the mysteries and questions around their backgrounds and origins as story hooks of their own.
Mirrors: Fantasy Folk includes:
- Clockworks: Artificial beings born from technomagic and alchemy.
- Elves: A unique take on a fantasy classic.
- Goblins: Reckless adventurers with a dark sense of humor and a total disregard for the safety of others.
- Orcs: Feared and misunderstood nomads and explorers who want to live in peace¸ but are more than capable of war.
- Ratfolk: Sneaky and adapted to life underground¸ the ratfolk are excellent assassins¸ spies¸ and thieves.
- Seers: Born with psionic gifts these folk are prone to disturbing visions.
- Soulforged: Mysterious ephemeramechanical creations who feed on the energies of ghosts¸ spirits and angels.
- Undead: Animate corpses trying to find a place for themselves in a world they once left.
