Micro Dungeon Escape
You wake up in a familiar yet still foul-smelling cell¸ with the dancing fire of a distant torch in the corridor¸ being the only source of light. You remember how you got here¸ but that's not important now. The most important thing at the moment is to find a way out... and do it quick. You may be famished and far away from your best¸ but one in your situation must make do.
You take a good look around. The cell is filthy¸ tiny and far from the luxurious halls that await you once you rid yourself of these god-forgotten walls. With the last ounce of strength¸ you can muster you kick the door and hear a familiar creak of a broken mechanism. Sudden burst of vigour feels your body as you notice doors now stand wide open. You can almost taste it... Freedom!
The time has come¸ you are going to escape!
Micro Dungeon Escape is a solo role-playing game in which you wake up in an unknown dungeon with hopes of finding your way out. As you play will roll dice¸ draw rooms and create your own unique dungeon with its own perils and challenges.
With pen¸ paper and a single d6 die being everything you need to play¸ the game is quick to play and easy to learn yet provides high degree of replayability and no two dungeons will ever be the same. As you play the game you'll roll the dice¸ draw dungeons¸ and overcome challenges and encounters on your way to freedom. A simple¸ yet fun roll & draw game !
The game you have in front of you is a labour of love and passion for not only the role-playing game genre¸ but also love for solo play and is a result of my efforts into creating a simple rpg-esque experience that requires only but a pen and paper (with the die available through a range of apps).
The current version is made available for free for testing and your feedback will help shape the future of Micro Dungeon Escape. In addition to the game rules a deck of cards will be made available for those players who'd rather use a deck of cards instead of rolling dice. These are currently WIP and will be made available as soon as a draft version is completed.
As this is still Work In Progress project¸ please feel more than free to provide me with feedback¸ samples of your games and any criticism. I do hope that the lovely community of Itch will help me make this game even better and one day make the game available in print format!
If you would like to share any feedback with me outside of DTRPG or Itch¸ please feel free to get in touch in the comments!
