In a space beyond our reach¸ just across the Path of Shen¸ lies another world - the world of Materia. Once a paradise¸ it was overwhelmed by the power of sorcerer kings and yoked to their unbending law. But that changed when defiant humans from Earth travelled to Materia and triggered a long-brewing revolution. The magical lords were overthrown¸ and the Path between their world and ours was shattered. But that was long ago.
Today the space between our worlds thins¸ and humans have begun to cross over once more¸ bringing new ideas¸ new challenges¸ and the most valuable force on Materia: the power of Shen. The Iron Khan hungers for these people¸ for only those marked with the Power can bring to life his magical clockwork war machines - the Shen Battlers.
Shen Battler Aurora is a fantasy setting using the Mecha vs Kaiju ruleset. This alternate reality combining soul magic and clockwork science sits adjacent to the MvK world¸ accessible to only a select few. It can also stand-alone as an independent setting.
Shen Battler Aurora features
A complete magic system allowing players to craft spells¸ artifacts¸ and alchemy using mecha and kaiju abilities. Rules for creating Battlers¸ mecha powered by the pilot's own spirit¸ or Shen. Magical Traditions (Stunts) such as Druid Craft and Potions Master. A complete setting with history¸ locations¸ and 9 different races¸ including the small elemental Kinth and the winged Feigh. A Blighted land where the once noble Dragons have become insane ravagers due to the theft of Shen¸ the magical life force of the world. Four different campaign seeds for using this sourcebook independantly¸ as a crossover with the Mecha vs Kaiju world¸ or any other existing Fate camplaign¸ all opposing the might of the master of Materia¸ the Iron Khan.
