The interior of this hardcover version is exactly the same as the free pdf although due to formatting there is an added blank page after the Table of Contents so the page count is one different than the pdf. Template cards available: By me¸ Marc Wolff: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/mage-war-1-starter-deck By Cory Powell: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/mage-war-starter-pack Mage War features: + A point-buy system to create cards however you want¸ including how they look + Rules are simple enough for casual play but also designed to be competitive and tournament-ready + No official cards¸ only official rules (rules are free); you make your own cards and only spend what you want to on that (you could play with proxies over junk cards in sleeves¸ design and print your own decks through pay-to-print services¸ or pretty much anything in between; to playtest this I bought blank cards and wrote on them with an ultra-fine sharpie and another playtester used proxies¸ both would be tournament legal) + You can sell decks/cubes you design and print commercially without paying me any royalties (this does not apply to selling the rulebook; see "FUTURE EDITIONS" section in the rulebook for further details as well as my Youtube channel) + Included in this game are optional rules for you to play an Alignment with your deck + Also included in this game are optional Global Abilities which currently feature a seasonal/holiday theme + There will definitely be future editions that will add more cool stuff to the game without breaking it¸ unbalancing it¸ creating power creep¸ or making it unnecessarily complicated ‐ just more fun (although you do use The Stack¸ and Priority) Enjoy! -Marc Wolff
