The Lamented - Undead Playable Race



Folklore and fairytales have sprung up around these creatures¸ granting them the name: The Lamented. They are¸ by their very nature¸ torn between conflicting identities. The Lamented find themselves condemned to live trapped between the two irreconcilable worlds of a previous life just out of memory's reach and an existence of undeath¸ feared and shunned by the living. The Lamented is a playable race option which allows players to create nuanced undead characters that defy the common tropes of Zombies¸ Vampires¸ or Ghosts¸ enabling players to explore stories of what struggles and triumphs an existence between life and death could hold. Using existing races from any source as a base¸ the Lamented creates a new undead race with unique racial abilities more fitting to an undead existence.
