Lenharrow Player's Guide: Light Edition
Fantasy Table-Top Role-Playing is one the greatest forms of entertainment ever created. That being said¸ how do you top that? The answer is simple. You don't even try. Let's Role-Play but let's do it with characters that you create and not the game system. In this rules system we throw level right out of the window. It goes against the grain I know but I ask you: 'What's in a level?' The age old incredible feeling of leveling up is great. However¸ I wonder. Why do I have to wait? Why shouldn't I be able to take my experience gained after each game session and learn skills right now? If you ever wondered or are even speculating the question just presented to you then welcome to Lenharrow. We've played this way for years and I have to say: "I don't miss leveling up?” Your character naturally gets stronger as you play and this is how it should be. Level was never a thing for your character so why should it be something you to have deal with. The Lenharrow Player's Guide: Light Edition is your tool for creating great characters that use a system of Lifestyles and leaves it up to the players to decide what works in your game and what doesn't. Naturally¸ there's an arbiter of the rules because every RPG needs a story teller or game master but for Lenharrow this player is called a Referee as the creator intended it. Don't like that term? That's okay¸ call the game master what you like; it's your game. I like it for its simplicity and feel it is an apt title. However¸ we're talking about the other players for now. For those of you who only want to play then this is the book for you. Not saying Referee's aren't players; because they are but for now you want to know what Lenharrow is. In the LPG you'll find a character creation system all in the first chapter and the rest of the book describes the terms. Within these pages are over 10 playable races (with that only if you count Ani-Men and Arachnoids as two distinct races) and 10 Lifestyle. In the Lenharrow Player's Guide: Light Edition; we provide you everything you'll need for character creation. In the Light Edition version of the Lenharrow Adventures we keep it simple so that with the other 3 books in series you'll have all you need to play Basic Game so by adding the Light Editions of the Lenharrow Referee's Guide¸ Lenharrow Creature Guide¸ and the adventure "King's Own” you'll have everything from the Lenharrow Fantasy Adventures Light Edition book; only in four separate volumes instead of one monster of a tome. When you're ready to go beyond the Basic the Enhanced Editions will be waiting and all Basic adventure are compatible with both the Light and Enhanced Editions. It's all compatible with just a little enhancement. So once more I say...
