One of the original RPGs with a Japanese setting¸ Land of the Rising Sun was published in 1980 by FGU. Although it used the Chivalry and Sorcery system it was a standalone game. Chivalry and Sorcery 1st edition was a complex¸ completist system¸ and Land of the Rising Sun shares both. Lawrence Shick described it as "Difficult to play¸ but the sections describing the society¸ culture¸ and legendry of medieval Japan are quite detailed." This is NOT the rules for Land of the Rising Sun. Instead these are the errata¸ the character sheets and charts from the original game¸ free to print and use. they have been retyped rather than scanned. There are two sets of the files. Formatted for printing in US Letter format or A4. The copyright is retained by Lee Gold and the files are provided with her permission
