Comic Images¸ creators of the popular Raw Deal CCG¸ are now preparing Know Your Role -- The WWE RPG¸ a role-playing game licensed by Vince McMahon's hugely successful WWE wrestling empire. Comic Images plans to use open gaming license (OGL) rules for the new game¸ which will appear in late fall of this year. The first release in the new WWE RPG will be a core rulebook¸ a full color 120-144 page volume¸ which will retail from between $29.95 and $34.95. The book will contain stats for the current WWE superstars as well as rules players can use to create their own grapplers. The core rulebook will also include a history of the colorful wrestling organization¸ with descriptions of its various eras; and most importantly¸ the volume will include rules governing conflicts both in the ring and outside the ring so that players can more closely duplicate the 'spillover scenarios' that add so much spice to WWE events.
Comic Images plans to unveil an early version of the WWE RPG at GenCon in Indianapolis where fans will be able to play the prototype version of the game. Future expansions could include updates on new WWE wrestlers and sourcebooks for the various previous eras of the WWE so that players could go up against the wrestling giants of the past.
