A new Game Scenario for Iron Cross Wargame!
Northwest of Geilenkirchen¸ German¸ November 18¸ 1944: In mid-November 1944¸ during World War II¸ the Allied forces launched Operation Clipper as part of their offensive strategy.
Geilenkirchen¸ located on the Wurm River approximately 20 km (12 mi) north of Aachen¸ served as a focal point for the offensive. The surrounding region featured a diverse landscape of forests¸ farmland¸ and industrial villages. The area was crisscrossed by a network of minor and major roads¸ as well as a railway line. The Wurm River played a significant role in the geography of the region. On the early morning of November 18th¸ at 06:00 before dawn¸ the 357th Searchlight Battery of the Royal Artillery played a crucial role in Operation Clipper.
