Periodic Table Playing Cards
This set of 106 playing cards follows the natural sequence of elements (Hydrogen is first¸ then Helium¸ then Lithium¸ etc.); their relationships are echoed in the card suit and rank. Elements in the same column of the table (group) have the same number (rank) and elements in the same row (period) will have the same suit. This is a major improvement over other element-based playing card sets that cycle with a very unnatural sequence of 13. Note the digital download is ONLY the rule book; you should purchase the combo option. Any game that uses playing cards can use this deck. A subset of 52 of these cards can be used for any standard card game (five of those are are shown below); using additional cards in the set (clearly indicated as well) one can also play 78 card tarot pack games. The set of downloadable instructions and information includes a version of "Periodic Table Poker"; a version of 5-card draw poker that expands upon the usual poker hands by including elemental relationships or "kin" as well as radioactive decay. It also introduces rule variants that can be added to some card games such as radioactive decay. NOTE: The Watermarked PDF option is only the rulebook (it is not a print-n-play edition of the deck). Be sure to purchase the "Watermarked PDF + Card(s) in Tuckbox" combo in order to get the rulebook as well as the printed cards.
