Fishing for Terrorists
We were walking the floor at Gencon and were attracted by the anti-terrorist security at the Slugfest booth and stopped to see what was going on. The company has just released Fishing for Terrorists¸ a new card game a company spokesperson described as 'a twisted version of Go Fish¸ with terrorists.' The sense of humor evident at the booth is also present in the game¸ in which players try to match up terrorists from ten groups. Not only are there such cards as the 'Certified Member of the Lunatic Fringe' who is 'a firm believer in involuntary organ donation for his personal research and dietary needs¸' there are also 'Militant Satanic Gamers' cards with gamer in-jokes. One such 'terrorist' card carries the caption¸ 'Overheard at SlugCon: With these cards¸ I can drop sixteen points of fire damage on my first turn¸ Dude!' The 72 b/w cards are printed on nice stock and sold in a color box at a $14.95 MSRP.
