Divine Authority
Be sure to speak loudly; the louder you are¸ the more right you must be. A (slightly sarcastic) micro game about rebelling and marching upon the kingdom in a futile effort to reason with absolute authority. Divine Authority is a short 3+ player game designed to be printed in a 1-page zine format onto a single letter-sized sheet of paper¸ cut¸ and folded. Will you be cast out of the kingdom? Or¸ will you accept the "perfectly reasonable" logic of divine authority? The mechanics are simple: all you need is a bag of two different-colored tokens and a group of friends. The more friends you have playing¸ the louder and more boisterous your game will be (and that's a good thing.) What's Included? There are different formats of the game available depending on your preferred method of reading it: A screen-friendly version meant for viewing on your mobile¸ tablet¸ or desktop screen. Images have been tagged with metadata and should be screen-reader compatible. An 8-page mini-zine version that prints out onto a single-sided letter-sized sheet of paper with instructions on how to fold and assemble (requires a pair of scissors.) A plain text version of the game rules. Image Credits The images used are from Gustave Doré's engravings for John Milton's Paradise Lost and Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.
