Tactical Hex Map-Woodland Set I
The Tactical Assault: Game Tools™ - Tactical Map Sets are a single panel map overlaid with large ( 30mm=1? inch ) hexes. To include variety and flexibility¸ the file is built with different layers that can be turned off and on to create a variety of unique maps from just the single PDF file ( 20+ different maps are possible in most cases ). In addition¸ the maps are designed to be geomorphic within set types ( e.g. Woodland¸ Desert¸ etc.) so they can be laid out in a wide variety of combinations. And because folks can print out as many copies of each map as they would like¸ combined map layouts can be as big as needed. While intended for use with the Tactical Assault: Legendary Battles™ rules using the Tactical Assault: Combat Cards™ or the Tactical Assault: Fantasy Cards™ ¸ the maps can still prove very useful for those folks who don't currently play either the Combat Cards or the Fantasy Cards. For example: Mecha Miniatures Games The bases of these miniatures should fit nicely within a single hex. 6mm (1/300) or 3mm (1/600) Miniatures When you don't feel like setting up a battlefield of full terrain¸ use the maps as your battlefield. The miniatures themselves should fit nicely within a hex. Role Playing Games Place several maps together for a detailed area of exploration¸ or base of operations¸ for a party of characters. And with room to write notes in each hex¸ and the ability to expand the map on the fly in whatever direction the characters go¸ a GM's job just got a little easier. Board Games The maps work great as a new battlefield for an existing game - especially games using the "block" style game pieces. All that is need to fully utilize the maps is Adobe Reader ( or other PDF reading program )¸ a printer and a sharp knife & straight edge or a scissors. And¸ like all Tactical Assault Games' products¸ it is fully supported with free downloads¸ tips & tricks and more! **Please Note: One some maps¸ features on one layer will overlap features on another layer. This was done provide users alternate terrain choices for those hexes to maximizes the difference between map configurations.
