Why does this supplement exist? Well¸ after organising and arranging my own Genesys RPG Space Opera campaign¸ I developed the advantages and threats tables¸ included in this supplement for a variety of areas¸ finding the need to expand on possible advantage and threat results during skill use¸ including combat.
Rather than having to think swiftly and concisely on the spot¸ these were developed as tools to enhance gameplay to keep the atmosphere intact and the events flowing. Regular pauses to interpret the dice¸ during creative mental blocks delayed the game and impacted the atmosphere.
They were also instrumental in maintaining consistency between advantages¸ threats¸ triumphs or despairs during game play and proved so useful that I wanted to share them through the Genesys foundry.
They can supplement any existing advantage and threat tables or can be used as an alternative to the interpretation of the dice pools. Keep those players on their toes and keep it fresh!
