Thri Kreen Race (5e)
Thri Kreen Always Evolving. Never Resting. For everyone that wants to play a four armed Insectoid. This is an adaptation from the Thri Kreen race from the 5e Monster Manual. The Thri Kreen is a four armed insectoid race¸ with some psionic abilities. This interpretation of the Thri Kreen spawned 4 subraces that are well defined. The Gigantea: These are best compared to strong humanoid ant-soldiers. They are very big¸ strong and life in a big colony. The Ulyssies: They are similar to grasshoppers¸ and can change the colour of their shell. The Smaragtin: A Smaragtin is quite like a underwater beetle. They are good swimmers¸ even in darkest depths. The Apleurus: A Sandbeetle is the best comparison¸ but there is more to them. They are a blessed race and very intelligent. Be Aware that these subraces are not lore friendly to the World of Toril (Forgotten Realms). Also there are six racial feats that allow you to evolve and customize your Thri Kreen character. Notes: A four armed creature is always problematic for the action economy. Either they are overpowered or they do not give the feel of four arms. With this in mind¸ a middle ground was found. So they have no combat statistics for their arms but one can get a racial feat that can enhance combat with four arms¸ if one chooses so. The flavour of four arms is in the base race included and some usage comes from them¸ but mostly on the roleplaying side. If you choose to allow the racial feats in your game¸ especially feats that give combat statistics for the multiple arms¸ be aware that they are balanced and compared to feats like "Great Weapon Master". I am always happy to get feedback for my content.
